Using this option the spacing of the points on each polyline can be changed. Several options are provided:

• Define approximate spacing between points on each section
• Define the maximum number of points on each polyline section. Any polyline section with more will be reduced to the specified number with points distributed uniformly along the curve.
• Distribute the number of points on each polyline by specifying the number that should appear below a defined waterplane.
• Reduce the number of points on any polylines with more that the maximum number by iteratively removing the points with the smallest section curvature.

Knuckles can be accounted so that the definition of corners in the section are not when the points are repositioned. More detailed information is available on the Change Vertex Spacing Dialog.
