Name and Colour
Specifies the option text identifier and color of the entity.
Name | The optional text identifier of the entity |
Colour | The colour of the entity. Clicking in the colored square will display the colour selection dialogue box. |
Continuity
Selects the algorithm used to generate the BSpline curve through the definition points of the curves.
1st Order | Generates a curve based on piecewise BSpline segments which is C1 or continuous in at least the first derivative. |
2nd Order | Generates a fitted BSpline curve which is C2 or continuous in at least the second derivative. |
2nd Order Piecewise | Generates a curve based on piecewise BSpline segments which is C2 or continuous in at least the second derivative. |
Account for chord length | The knot vectors of the BSpline curves will account for differences in the chord length distances between definition points. |
End Conditions
Selects the end condition arrangement applied at the start and end points of the curve.
Natural | The end of the curve is based on the natural end condition, i.e. the second derivative reduces to zero at the end point. |
Bessel | The end point of the curve is based on the bessel end condition, i.e. curve shape is parabolic. |
Points
The parametric definition of the control polygon allowing the coordinate components of each point to be manipulated. See Editing Curve Control Points Numerically.
